2.1 Veterinary Practice Information
When a veterinary practice submits a listing through the Add Your Practice form, we collect business information including:
- Practice name
- Business address
- Business phone number
- Business email address
- Website URL
- Practice details (services offered, animals treated, hours of operation)
This is business contact information, not personal consumer data. It is used solely to create and display your practice listing in the Paws To Walk directory.
2.2 Practice Owner Account Information
When a veterinary practice owner creates an account to manage their listing, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form using bcrypt — we never store your password in plain text)
2.3 Session Cookies
When a practice owner logs into their account, we set a session cookie on their browser to keep them logged in. This cookie:
- Is HTTP-only (not accessible to JavaScript)
- Expires after 30 days
- Contains only a session token — no personal data
- Is used solely to authenticate the logged-in practice owner
We do not set tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
2.4 Affiliate Partner Cookies
Paws To Walk participates in affiliate marketing programs (see Section 5). When you click an affiliate link on our site, the affiliate partner may set their own cookies on your browser to track referrals and commissions. These cookies are governed by the affiliate partner’s own privacy policy, not ours.

4. Third-Party Services
Paws To Walk uses the following third-party services to operate the directory:
4.1 Supabase
We use Supabase to store practice listing data and account information. Data is stored on servers located in the United States (US East — North Virginia). Supabase’s privacy practices are governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
4.2 Google Maps (Geocoding API)
We use Google’s Geocoding API to convert zip codes into geographic coordinates for proximity-based search results. When you enter a zip code in the search bar, that zip code is sent to Google’s servers for geocoding. No personal information is transmitted. Google’s data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Affiliate Marketing Disclosure
Paws To Walk participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that some links on our website are affiliate links — if you click one and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
We only recommend services we believe are relevant and beneficial to pet owners. Affiliate relationships do not influence our directory listings or search results.
When you click an affiliate link, you will be directed to the affiliate partner’s website. That partner may set their own cookies and collect information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

8. Children’s Privacy
Paws To Walk is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
